Hero Subclasses

Hero Subclasses (Mastery) are advanced specializations available when the hero gains a level at depths 6, 10, 14, 18, or 22. Each hero class has access to two unique subclasses that specialize their playstyle.

Warrior Subclasses

  • Gladiator: Focuses on melee combat and weapon mastery
  • Berserker: Gains strength when health is low

Mage Subclasses

  • Battle Mage: Combines magical and physical combat
  • Warlock: Gains power from defeated enemies

Rogue Subclasses

  • Assassin: Specializes in surprise attacks and critical hits
  • Freerunner: Moves faster with higher armor penalties

Huntress Subclasses

  • Sniper: Specializes in ranged combat and accuracy
  • Warden: Gains strength from nature and dew collection

Elf Subclasses

  • Scout: Enhanced mobility and exploration abilities
  • Shaman: Commands spirits and uses nature magic

Necromancer Subclasses

  • Lich: Transforms into undead with powerful magic

Gnoll Subclasses

Priest Subclasses

  • None currently defined

Doctor Subclasses

  • None currently defined

Subclass Mechanics

  • Subclasses are obtained by reading a Tome of Mastery after defeating the second boss (Tengu)
  • Each subclass provides unique abilities and bonuses
  • Subclass abilities can only be used by heroes of the corresponding main class
  • Subclasses significantly alter the gameplay experience for each class
