Crossbows

Crossbows are a type of ranged weapon in Remixed Dungeon that offer higher damage than regular bows at the cost of attack speed.

Crossbows are advanced ranged weapons that fire bolts with high accuracy and power. They are more difficult to use than regular bows, requiring more time between shots but dealing significantly more damage.

• Range: Excellent range for attacking enemies from a distance
• Ammunition: Requires arrows to function
• Accuracy: Very high accuracy
• Speed: Slower attack speed compared to regular bows
• Damage: Higher damage output than regular bows
• Upgrade Potential: Can be upgraded with Scrolls of Upgrade
• Enchantments: Compatible with weapon enchantments

Crossbows are defined in `com.nyrds.pixeldungeon.items.guts.weapon.ranged` and all share the abstract `Crossbow` base class. The following concrete variants exist in the codebase:

• Wooden Crossbow - Tier 2, base accuracy 1.2x, base delay 1.6x
• Tactical Crossbow - Tier 3, base accuracy 1.0x, base delay 1.0x (good for melee)
• Composite Crossbow - Tier 4, base accuracy 1.1x, base delay 1.6x
• Ruby Crossbow - Tier 6, base accuracy 1.1x, base delay 1.6x (high-tier)

• Ammunition System: Each shot consumes one arrow
• High Damage: Sacrifices speed for increased damage per shot
• Line of Sight: Requires clear line of sight to target
• Ranged Combat: Allows attacking without direct engagement
• Powerful Shots: Each arrow hits harder than a typical arrow

• Crossbows are ideal for high-damage, precision shots
• Best used against single powerful enemies
• Effective for one-shotting weaker enemies
• May not be ideal for groups of enemies due to slower fire rate
• The powerful shots are excellent for bypassing enemy defenses

• Crossbows can be found throughout the dungeon
• Some may be available in shops, depending on the level
